Spouse / partner visa

If you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you can sponsor your spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, dependent child (including adopted child) or other eligible relative to become a permanent resident.

Relocating to Canada under this kind of sponsorship allows an applicant to seek and undertake employment in the country without any restriction. Successful applicants will become permanent residents and after a minimum residency requirement of three years, may be able to apply for Canadian citizenship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

- Sponsor must provide financial support for a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner for

- three years from the date they become a permanent resident.

- Sponsor must provide financial support for a dependent child for 10 years, or until the

- child turns 25, whichever comes first.

- Sponsor& Sponsored migrant must provide evidences of relationship.

- Sponsored migrant must go through medical, criminal and background screening
